Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Who we are

Elite Edge provides coaching, performance testing, bike fitting, strength and conditioning, nutrition, mindset and hydration services. Elite Edge is a trading name of Elite Edge Athletic Performance Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07805527), with its registered office at Oak Farm Mews, 216 Forest Lane, Harrogate, England, HG2 7ED. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Elite Edge Athletic Performance Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at craig@eliteedge-athlete.com, call 07973 118 112 or write to us at Unit 8-9 West Park, Harrogate, HG2 7ED.

2. The information we collect

  • Enquiries. When you use our contact form, email or call us, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the service you are interested in and the content of your message.
  • Bookings. When you book a service or discovery call, we collect your name, contact details, the appointment you choose and any information you add to the booking.
  • Service information. If you become a client, we collect the information needed to deliver your service safely and effectively. Depending on the service, this can include training history, test results, physiological and biomechanical measurements, body composition, nutrition information, injury and medical history, and notes from consultations.
  • Website usage. We collect anonymous statistics about how the website is used, such as pages viewed, the type of device and the country of the visitor. This does not identify you and does not use cookies.

3. How we use your information and our lawful basis

  • To respond to enquiries and arrange services. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
  • To deliver the services you book. Our lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you.
  • To keep business, tax and accounting records. Our lawful basis is our legal obligations.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running an effective website.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling. We will only send you marketing communications if you have asked us to.

4. Health and performance data

Some of the information we collect to deliver our services, such as physiological test results, injury and medical history and psychological consultation notes, is health data. This is a special category of personal data and we treat it with additional care.

We only collect health data with your explicit consent, which we ask for before your assessment or consultation. It is shared within the Elite Edge team only where that is needed to deliver your service, and never with anyone outside Elite Edge without your permission, unless we are required to by law. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, although this may limit the services we can provide.

5. Who we share your information with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our website and services. They only process your data on our instructions or under their own privacy policies:

  • Vercel hosts this website and provides our anonymous usage statistics.
  • BKA Digital and Resend deliver messages sent through our contact form to our email inbox. Contact form messages are not stored on the website.
  • Microsoft provides our email.
  • Calendly handles online bookings. When you book through a Calendly link, the information you enter is also processed by Calendly under its own privacy policy.
  • TrainingPeaks is used to deliver training programmes to coached athletes.
  • Google Maps is used to show our location on the contact page. The map only loads if you choose to view it. If you do, Google may collect information about your device and set cookies under its own privacy policy.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or approved standard contractual clauses.

6. Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and our usage statistics do not use cookies.

Third-party services we link to or embed may set their own cookies when you choose to use them. This includes Calendly when you open a booking page and Google when you choose to load the map on our contact page.

7. How long we keep your information

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a service are deleted within 12 months.
  • Client records, including test results and consultation notes, are kept for as long as you are a client and for up to six years afterwards, so that we can support you if you return and meet our legal and insurance obligations.
  • Financial records are kept for six years, as required by law.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.

8. How we protect your information

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure. This website is served over an encrypted connection, access to client records is limited to the members of the Elite Edge team who need it, and we only use service providers that offer appropriate security.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your personal data
  • ask us to restrict how we use your data, or object to our use of it
  • ask us to transfer your data to you or to another organisation
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, contact us at craig@eliteedge-athlete.com. We will respond within one month and there is normally no charge.

10. Children

We work with junior athletes. Where an athlete is under 18, we ask a parent or guardian to make the booking and to give consent for us to collect and use the athlete's information.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
